Adult General Educational Development (GED):
Preparation
and Readiness Assessment
What are the GED tests?
The GED tests are designed to provide adults who have not
graduated from high school with an alternative means
of demonstrating that they have an equivalent level of
education.
In GED testing, candidates take five tests that measure
skill in writing, science, math, social studies, and the
critical appreciation of literature and arts. Successful
candidates are awarded an Ontario High School Equivalency
Certificate. GED tests are only administered through the
Independent Learning Centre.
How can we help?
- We can assess your knowledge to determine your current
level of readiness to write the test.
- We specialize in working with you to help you write
and pass your GED. We help clients who have financial
need by working with M.T.C.U. We may be able to
help you find the funding to complete the GED training.
- We use the PLATO computer learning system to help
you learn the curriculum and prepare for the testing.
