SUMMARY:
This is the first in a series about brother and sister, Rick and Willow, who are home schooled. Their education is supplemented by special classes - at AGO, and camping trips. This summer, they're camping in the Algoma district of Ontario. They stumble across a boxcar that looks like the one described in books about the Group of Seven. They find a sketch that they believe might have been created by Group member Arthur Lismer. When they try to have it assessed, the adventure begins....

WHO WOULD LOVE THIS BOOK? A kid who...
- likes camping, adventure, mystery
- and art

WHAT ELSE?
Although it's fiction, there are many "information boxes" that tell about the Group of Seven, the Algoma area, and the McMichael Collection. This was also a Silver Birch nominee.
