SUMMARY:
Elaine, named after a character in Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem, "The Lady of Shalott," moves across country with her college professor parents to begin a new school year at Avalon High in Minnesota. Her parents are on sabbatical, studying medieval times. Elaine (Ellie) notices Will Wagner and his friends while running in the park, and there’s an instant connection. Will goes to her high school, and Ellie discovers Will and his friends are part of the popular crowd. Ellie can’t believe that Will would be interested in her, especially after meeting his cheerleader girlfriend, Jennifer. Still, Ellie and Will develop a friendship… but when Will says he thinks he's met Ellie before, things start getting bizarre. Connections to the world of King Arthur start popping up and Ellie discovers the group known as the Order of the Bear. She’s warned that the group believes Will may be the reincarnated King Arthur, and that Will's life is in danger. Can Ellie put the mystery together and save her new friend -- or will the past overtake the present, and doom them all?
