Junior:Average SUMMARY: This novel is an adaptation of the classic, The Wind and the Willow. The novel is broken up into 11 chapters that chronicle the adventures of Mole, Rat, Mr. Toad and Badger. Some of these include: The River Bank, The Open Road, The Wild Wood and Mr. Badger. WHO
WOULD LOVE THIS BOOK? A kid who... WHAT ELSE? At
different points in the story the toad smokes a cigar and has wine with
dinner. There are also animals that behave like bullies so there is an
opportunity to engage in discussion. The toad also breaks the law and
goes to jail with the story ending in a jail break.
