SUMMARY:
Ten years earlier, the age of superheroes mysteriously ends in a violent battle. No one knows what happened, but the superhumans, good and bad, vanished on that day.

Fast track to the present, where friends Danny and Colin begin to realize their ordinary existence as British schoolboys is about to change. They are suddenly able to do incredible feats of speed and strength, and learn they are both children of former superhumans, all of whom lost their powers on that day ten years earlier. Before they have time to understand what is happening to them, however, both boys are plunged into a struggle for survival against mysterious foes. They are kidnapped, along with Colin's former superhero parents, and taken to the States in order to be used in some kind of experiment. The group is separated when Colin manages to escape, but the challenges are just beginning. As Colin sets out to save his parents and Danny, making some unusual friends along the way, Danny learns his destiny has a dark secret. Can he overcome the prophecy that has set all this in motion?

As the two friends reunite, they realize that only they can save thousands of innocent lives...but at what cost?
