SUMMARY:
Ray Hockaday, a hockey player for the Medicine Hat Tigers, has
a secret. He is very careful about hiding it from his coach, his teammates,
and his father, a former enforcer (goon) on a hockey team. His new coach,
however, notices something’s going on, and questions Ray’s
reluctance to go into the boards.
Meanwhile, the new Russian
player who is billeted with Ray is supposed to be getting used to life
in Canada. What Ray doesn't know is that Vlad, too, has a secret…not
only can he speak and understand English, but late at night he has a secret
meeting with someone in a white Cargo van…
Ray is determined to confront
his fears and get to the bottom of the mystery about Vlad, but the secret
Vlad’s hiding is something that could get them both killed…
