The Terry Fox National School Run Day on Friday, September 25th saw many of our schools join together in an inspirational nation-wide day of fundraising for cancer research. Students were able to donate "Twoonie for Terry" and each school collectively walked around their school grounds or neighborhood. Congratulations to our schools for supporting the Terry Fox Run and embodying the spirit of giving just like Terry did.

Fifty students from Kingsville District High School logged 460 hours of volunteer service for the Kingsville Extreme Build home construction project. As part of a team of 400 enthusiastic volunteers, the students began working on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 a.m. and completed construction on the 1,800 square foot, 3 bedroom home on Saturday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m., some 20 hours ahead of schedule. Thanks to Kingsville teacher Mr. Matt Daudlin for coordinating the tremendous volunteer effort. Contractors were so impressed with the students' effort and skill that 12 students were asked to submit resumes and some were even offered jobs.
