Champions for Education Award

The Greater Essex County District School Board wishes to recognize its community partners for their contributions toward and support of public education.  Our community partners devote thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars in support of our public schools.  This much needed and valuable support significantly enriches our learning environments and positively impacts students in the classroom. 

Each year nominations are accepted by a committee, headed by the Director of Education, and up to 10 individuals or organizations are selected for this honour.   A ceremony is held as part of a public meeting of the Board of Trustees at which time a citation for the community partner is shared and their outstanding contribution celebrated.
