Odiogo

What an easy concept for creating your own podcasts. If you're a blogger or webpage creator, you do a great deal with text. Turn it over to Odiogo and the website will create an audio document with its text to speech technology.

So, got a morning blog that you read before work? Turn it into a podcast and list to it in your car through your MP3 player.

Or, if you have a student who understands better listening to material, this site will do a terrific job in the preparation of materials.

"Why can't I find what I'm looking for on the internet?"

"I typed in a word and clicked on 'I'm feeling lucky.'"

Well, maybe it's time to expand your search skills and incorporate a little boolean logic to get the job done!

At the Boolify website, you drag and drop blocks illustrating the logic for exactly your search to see it before you search it. Together, you can build a logical structure that will assist students in their quest to be better searchers.

Bomomo
http://bomomo.com/

This website stole the show as the CIESC group explored some web applications at the last meeting. The concept is very simple; you have these nodes that wish to follow your cursor on the screen.

There are a number of different ways that they can follow you and you change the ways by clicking at the bottom of the screen. Cute little activity with a mouse.

However, it really shines and becomes a piece of art editing when you do the controlling at the SMART Board.

Goodness knows that I'm not the artist in the group, but after hearing an explanation from someone who was -- I was more than sold!
