Everyone Learns

Blended Solutions Project

The Greater Essex County District School Board is pleased to partner with the Lambton Kent District School Board and the Thames Valley District School Board, along with many corporate partners in an innovative project integrating Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) into the classroom.

As part of this project, every classroom at Mill Street Public School, Pelee Island Public School, and the English and Mathematics classrooms at Leamington District Secondary School have been equipped with five student computers and a teacher computer. In addition, classrooms have access to new printers, data projectors, flat bed scanners, and innovative software solutions using WYNN Learning Software to enhance the learning environment.

The 'Blended' approach to using ICT is focusing on enhancing student achievement in literacy and numeracy. The goal of this initiative is to develop a realistic and sustainable approach in providing the appropriate level of technology to students.

On-going support has been provided for teachers to assist in creating, delivering, and enhancing technology-assisted learning.
