Sometimes, you take a lot of things for granted.  For example, everyone knows how to navigate the web, right?  Wrong!  There are those who require the First Steps approach.

In the beginning...

How do you know what's a link on a page?  It could be:

1. underlined text

2. a graphic

3. coloured text

4. all of the above

5. none of the above

Bizarrely, it indeed could be all of the above.  The appearance and design of web pages can be confusing, particularly for people new to the web.

This tutorial is a great place to start for all ages new to the net.  While it's particularly designed for young children, the material is interesting to review and does give some tips about how to navigate the web.

Once you've worked your way through the tutorial, make sure you find yourself a colour printer and print yourself a certificate!
