Type With Me
http://typewith.me/

Have you ever been involved in a collaborative project or a meeting where you're working on something with a group and wish to share a document? You know the drill - let me add my part and then I'll email it to you - you can edit it and send it back. What a time consuming process.

Check out Type With Me. It solves all your problems! Just start a document (no sign up is necessary) and invite people to your document. Powered by Etherpad, you, you and your friend, or you and your group are all able to edit the document simultaneously.

What a great collaborative piece. How about student group work? It's a terrific tool for this sort of thing. When you're done, everyone can export the final document and move on to the next task.

YouTube Time
http://youtubetime.com/

Have you found just the perfect YouTube video only to find out that it is way too long for your needs? You really don't need all 20 minutes of the video.

At YouTube Time, they've got you covered. Just determine where you'd like to start playing the video and enter the min:sec start information.

Then, go to the link that is provided rather than trying to use the scrubber bar and cue to the right location. This can be a real time saving tool.

Math Interactives
http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/mejhm/index.html

From Learn Alberta comes this wonderful collection of interactive mathematics activities. Choose from a particular strand and ask the program to show you all that's available and away you go.

The activities are large, colourful, and very attractive. They would make a nice addition to any mathematics lesson or review and just have to work nicely with a SMART Board.

Go Mobile
http://google.com/gwt/n

Your website was probably originally designed for use when nice monitors, fast internet, and people actually used a computer to access it!

Times are changing and often visitors are viewing your website using a mobile device like a telephone. Have you changed your design to keep them in mind?

Me neither. But, Google's got us covered. For a mobile version of your website, head to Google's Mobilizer.

All of your beautiful design work will be gone but the web page will be nicely readable for visitors with portable device. See below for what happens to the GEC Computers in the Classroom website when made mobile.

If you're really a nice person and concerned about those visiting you on a mobile device, copy the URL that's provided and put a link at the top of your page and invite mobile users to visit that link.

Just make sure that you keep it updated.

Global Warming Interactive
http://www.globalwarminginteractive.com/

For the secondary school science and social science classroom comes this very engaging simulation surrounding a very important concern of the day - global warming.

Develop and implement social policy in a simulated environment and let the simulation run to see if the decisions that you are your group made were good and effective.

This is more than your standard point and click game and should serve to inspire some good conversation about the issues that you must tackle.
