More Online Databases
Thanks to the Knowledge Ontario initiative, Greater Essex teachers and students have access to even more professional databases and resources. Access to these is permanently enabled through the link from the Student Reference Portal.

In revising this page with Teacher Consultant Sharon Seslija, we put together some of the more interesting, useful, and classroom friendly databases. Trust me when I indicate that this is the tip of the iceberg. Look around and you'll find even more resources than those highlighted on this page.

Frank W. Begley Public School
Quick. Which of our elementary schools has students who speak 32 different languages at home? Yes, it's Begley Public School.

This celebration comes through on their website. Check out the great things happening there including their Arabic program.

Digital Photography Exhibition
Get those cameras ready. The Gibson Gallery in Amherstburg has been booked again to show off some of the best digital photography of Greater Essex County students.

This year's exhibition goes public on Wednesday, May 20 and runs through Sunday, June 14. Plan to come out and see some of the entries. Our students do some amazing work. Check out the 2008 pictures here.

Jeffrey Goes to Amherst
Just in time for Grade 8 students in the town of Amherstburg ... check out the 3D animation "Jeffrey Goes to Amherst". It's a 3D animation created by the Grade 12 students at General Amherst High School. Right off the bat, you'll see that Jeffrey is a real patron of the arts, followed by technology, and he's certainly a great pancake flipper!
