Timelines
The Lesson Activity tookit in the SMART Notebook software is a never ending resource of arts, graphics, and interactive objects.
Finding the objects is easy and seeing how they work to convey concepts is amazing. At the Vision to Practice Conference, the groups spent some time digging into the toolkit and creating resources for lessons using them.
Often the most powerful tools come with a great deal of blank area and you provide the inspiration.
One such tool in the toolkit is the Timeline creator.
Specifiy the number of dates or events and the learning object is automatically adjusted. You could be doing something as simple as planning all of the events for a school year.
Just tell the learning object that you need 10 nodes on your timelines (we'll use them as months) and provide the details and you immediately have an interactive timeline.
Click on the node to bring up the event. In the example below, I've entered the birthdays in December.
This is just another object to put into your SMART Board toolkit.
