Search Engines
Search Engines are located at websites designed to help the Internet user identify and link directly to desired resources. While there are no firm numbers to indicate just how big the Internet is, it is estimated by various sources that there are approximately 200 million webpages available. Without a search engine, finding your desired resource is the virtual needle in a haystack.
In their simplest form, search engines accept a keyword and search its database for text that matches the keyword.
In its most complex form, search engines can be manipulated, indexed, and logically forced to yield the best results for your searching efforts. That's the focus of this workshop.
