The perfect library is a place where there's a little something for everyone.  Most libraries fit into that category.  What differentiates the best from the rest?

Organization, that's what!

The Wilton Library has a layout that's very easy to navigate, very inclusive, and welcome to all visitors on the Internet regardless of their age level.

The opening page looks like so many different portals that you might find at some of the popular search engine sites on the Internet.   There's a category for business, for news, for reference, for education, etc.   and the ability to jump directly to a sub-category within each major category.   From an education perspective, all of the sites have been categorized by a librarian so that they are usable in the classroom.

Above and beyond the categorization, the library itself has a number of entry points, as illustrated above, completely customized by grade level.  This is the site that you'd create yourself, if you only had the time.   Great sites, appropriate for classroom use, and completely annotated so that you don't waste your time getting to the best of the bunch.
