FirstClass...Now with Document Creation!
So far, with the new enhancements to FirstClass, we've looked at the ability to easily create blogs and podcasts with your account. Another feature that you may wish to experiment with is the document creator.

Now, why you ask, would you want to create a document in FirstClass? It's not such a bizarre idea once you think of it. If you do a lot of messaging, you've undoubtedly noticed that FirstClass features a nice set of editing tools. If you can edit messages, you can edit documents and presentations.

What's more, if the document is part of your FirstClass account, you can access it anywhere you can access your email account!

First, you need to download the latest FirstClass client. In the left panel, you'll find a new set of options. In this case, you'll select Documents.

Let's create a New Document.

Look at all of the choices! Choose Note Paper.

Check out the neat background paper that this makes available to you.

Forget the fact that we got here via a different route than just starting a new email message...look at the ability to edit this document using the same tools just as you would any other email message. Talk about your transferable skills!

Do your editing and when you're done, select the Save and Close option, log off and rest assured that your document will be online whenever or wherever you happen to log back into FirstClass again.

if you feel this of value, play around with this. If you select "New" from the "File" menu, you'll find that you're not limited to just these types of documents.

Look at the options should you elect to create a presentation in FirstClass!
