The Hyperpage

This month ... Web Pages

What better way to share your classes Hyperstudio stacks than to display them prominently on a web page. Hyperstudio makes the process very easy.

1) Save your stack. Chances are that on the Internet, people with both Windows computers and Macintosh computers will visit your site so make sure that your stack ends with .STK, the Windows naming convention for Hyperstudio stacks.

2) From the EXTRAS menu, select the "Export Web Page" option.

3) Your webpage, such that it is has been created. It's not very elaborate, just some raw HTML code. In fact, here's what is created.

<HTML>

<HEAD>

<TITLE>test.stk</TITLE>

</HEAD>

<BODY>

<EMBED SRC="test.stk" WIDTH=512 HEIGHT=342><P>

</BODY>

</HTML>

Nothing too fancy at all. But, you're equipped with Claris Homepage. Open the above file into Homepage and edit it until you get exactly the web presence that you want with your homepage.

4) Make sure that your users can read your stack. In order to read Hyperstudio stacks in a webpage, the visitors will need a Hyperstudio plug-in for their Netscape or Explorer browser. If you can't provide the plug-in directly, send them to the Hyperstudio website where all things Hyperstudio can be found. It's at http://www.hyperstudio.com
