This month --- Hyperstudio Festival

I am pleased to announce that Greater Essex County District School Board will host a Hyperstudio Festival to recognize and celebrate the great Hyperstudio projects that are developed by our students.

During January - March Break, interested students will work on Hyperstudio Projects to address a particular area of the Ontario Curriculum.  i.e. Medieval Times, Economic Systems of the 1920s and 1930s, Pythagorean Theorem, the Nervous System, My Community, etc.  Since Hyperstudio is a wonderful multimedia environment, it's anticipated that these projects will use multimedia effectively to convey the desired message.

Each school will be encouraged to show off the creations of its students to visitors and other students.  From each elementary school, two projects from Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, and Grades 7-8 may be submitted to a district-wide competition.  From each secondary school, six projects may be submitted.

During the month of April, all of the submitted projects will be judged with the goal to identify exemplary projects.  This judging will be completed in time for Education Week in May.  It is hoped that we can create a CD-ROM with the projects for sharing throughout the system.
