The Hyperpage

Hyperstudio comes with a really good collection of editing tools and effects. However, as you browse your list of available software on your school's network, you should notice that you have all kinds of tools at your disposal.

I'd like to direct your attention to the latest and greatest Kidpix Deluxe 3.

Now, why with all of the functionality that I've been pushing with Hyperstudio all these years would I turn you to Kidpix? Because................. Kidpix has even more tools and effects for the complete multimedia experience!

Where else, but in Kidpix would you find things like Wacky Paintbrushes and chalk and paint cans and footballs and ... get the picture?

Normally, Kidpix saves its work in Kidpix format. Very proprietory.

However, if you move your cursor to the very top of the screen, you'll get a whole set of standard Window/Mac menus and, on the File Menu, an Export option. You can now export your piece of art in JPEG, BMP, or PICT format. JPEG is great for a picture format. (Just remember where you saved it. Your home directory or computer's desktop is a favoured spot.)

Get out of Kidpix and load Hyperstudio. From the OBJECTS menu, select ADD A GRAPHIC OBJECT and you're going to get it from a Disk File. Find your file and in it goes.

Try to do this without the Kidpix tools!

If you're a Hyperstudio using teacher, you've got to add Kidpix to your students' arsenal!
