The Multimedia Page

It might seem to be impossible, but there might be one or two cases where the answer to the current question isn't Hyperstudio. Nothing comes to mind to me right now, but it's conceivable. :-)

Hyperstudio makes it very easy to launch another program over itself.

Actually, a serious use might be authoring a tutorial with Hyperstudio. In the example below, you may wish to launch Adobe Photoshop Elements at an appropriate point in time. So, from the Objects Menu, we'll add a Button Object and fill in the name of the button. In this case, I entered the name of the program.

Next, you'll want to make sure that you tell Hyperstudio to launch a program or document. In this case, we'll launch the Photoshop Elements program.

The launch options lets us browse the hard drive or network to find the file that we want to launch. In my case, I'd like to return to Hyperstudion when done, so I make sure that the "Quit Hyperstudio after launch" button is not checked.

Click on OK and you're all set.

The user visits your card within the stack, clicks on the button want waits and Photoshop Elements pops up over your stack. When they're done, they quit the program and are plunked right back into Hyperstudio where they left off.
