C.omputer A.ssisted I.nstruction T.eachers Janice Blencoe Steve Cox Neil MacTavish Dan Mooney Gisele Winger Ric Woltz  The C.A.I.T.s are a group of 6 teachers who between us visit every school in the Greater Essex County District School Board, on a two week schedule. Our primary role is to assist teachers and their students to use computers and related technologies to achieve curriculum goals. To do this, we work : one on one with teachers, before, during and after school with small groups of students, or full classes in computer labs, or in classroom centres through e-mail, in full staff conferences and one to one correspondence in conjunction with each school's Principal, and Computers In Education School Contact teacher (C.I.E.S.C.) as a group, to promote computer - related Board initiatives We strive to be be flexible enough to answer the needs and requests of our schools as they arise, and to be leaders in promoting and mentoring best practices in the use of computers in education. Our goal is help create a climate that enables the successful use of computer technology by all our staff and students. We hope this "Last CAIT's Corner of the Millennium" is useful to that end, as we join the world in welcoming Y2K!
