This month --- Open the Door!
With the HideShw2 NBA, you can add some very fancy effects to a Hyperstudio stack. In this case, we will create a button that uses the NBA to open a clipart door on the screen. It creates a very nice effect.
Step #1:
Get a door. This is easier than it sounds. In Hyperstudio, from the Objects
Menu, select "Add a Graphic Object". In the HSArt folder, there's a
selection entitled "btnart2.bmp". In the top right corner, there are two
pictures of a door. One is closed and the other is about half open. Select the
closed door by drawing a rectangular box around it. Tip, this will be easiest done if your
selection is tight to the image of the door.

Step #2:
Get the other door! From the same "btnart2.bmp" file, select the door
that is opened. This time, name the graphic. I named mine "open".

Step #3:
With the hands of a surgeon, place the opened door completely on top of the
closed door. The better you do this, the more impressive the effect will be later
on.
Step #4:
Now, we need to control the door. We'll do that by adding a button to the
page. Under "Things to Do", select a New Button Action. The NBA that
we're going to use is the HideShw2 NBA. The object that we wish to use is the
"Open" object (our open door).

Once you get into this, the "Hide Effect" and "Show Effect" can further enhance the impression that your user gets. I found that the "Right to Left" transition works really nicely, provided you have both of your objects exactly on top of each open.
Good luck opening doors!
