Pretty soon the discussion will start to determine just when the 100th Day of School is. For emerging mathematicians, this is an enormous deal. So, it will happen on ...nah, I won't even get into the discussion.

But, if you're celebrating, check out the 100th Day of School resource page for some classroom ideas.

Recently, all of the Elementary School CIESCs got together for their regular meetings. It's really neat to see things spring from the meeting into action.

At Benson, you'll see the newly found flipbook skills and at Eastwood, the Grade 3 class is now podcasting.

Online Databases
http://www.gecdsb.on.ca/d&g/portal/subscriptions.htm

From the Student Reference Portal, there are links to all kinds of databases that are available for students and teachers to conduct their research. Some are free on the internet and others are password protected. With the appropriate password, they are accessible both at school and from at home.

Recently, the Knowledge Ontario initiative has promised even more access to commercial databases for students and teachers. Consequently, it was decided to create an online Virtual Library link page to these databases.

This resource can be accessed from the Student Reference Portal or directly from the link above. If you require the remote password to access these resources from at home, contact your school's teacher librarian.
