Websites It
was nice to get called out to a couple of schools this past December
to help with getting websites updated with new information. Keep your
eyes on:
Women
in Technology The
first session at Prince Andrew Public School took place in October.
The second session (with a large group of 77
young ladies) was held at Harrow Senior Public School. Look for details
on the newly designed WIT website soon.
As
promised last month, Jenni Donohoo has created web reports for these
two sessions at this link. The
sessions from previous years, authored by Gisèle Winger are at this
link.
Mathville Middle School Newly
licensed by OSAPAC, this software package addresses Mathematics curriculum
expectations from Grades 6 to 8. A link
to this
new software package will appear on the Student Reference Portal and
will be available on the district's intranet.
Updated Curriculum Links Jenni Donohoo
has personally checked out the curriculum and web quest links available
from the Curriculum
Link pages and from
the Webquest Locator. Dead links have been removed; moved links have
been found; and links that were previously denied because of the Internet
filter have been adjusted.
Users of these
pages are encouraged to report broken links. There's nothing more frustrating
that going somewhere nonexistent!
