A Dancing Snowperson
Did you know that you can create a snowperson for your SMART Board? Really? There isn't a snowperson icon or drawing tool.
If you think back to school yard games, we created them by rolling up three snow balls and placing them in place. We can do the same thing with the SMART Notebook software as it does a nice job of drawing snowballs. then, we put them together.
It's just as easy as with any drawing program. In the toolbar which you've placed either at the top or bottom of your desktop, there is a Shapes menu and the very top item is a snow ball, er, oval drawing tool.
Use it three times to draw snow balls of varying sizes and you're ready to put it together. Stack the images like you would with real snow and you have one fine looking snowperson. With the selector icon, you can move an object on the screen. Right now, though, our masterpiece is three single objects.
Like you would with any program, we need to group the objects together. With your finger, swipe an area on the SMART Board to include all of the objects.
You'll notice that each object has a pull down menu to adjust the properties of the object. Select one of them and grouping is an option. Group them together and you now have a snowperson that can be moved with one mouse movement.
Of course, the object here isn't to have everyone drawing with snow.
Often, you'll do some drawing that involves multiple objects that you'd like to group together for precise placement on the screen. The SMART Board software provides the perfect tools for the job.
