I sure wish that I had resources like this when I had to write great essays. Turabian? Chicaga? APA?

They're a snap with Bibme. Just search for or provide the necessary details and a perfectly crafted bibliography is generated for you.

The Newspaper Clipping Generator
http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp

We had some good fun with this website during the holiday break. It's a plain and simple web resource. Fill in a couple of fields and ask the website to generate a newspaper clipping for you and voila!

There's even a link to download the image to your computer. What a terrific way to generate a newspaper clipping for a discussion or two about media literacy or to even adorn your class webpage!

If you're looking for more than a newspaper clipping, check out the clapper board or the talking tomato!

Head over to the Trading Card Maker. Upload the images and some text to the webpage and it will generate trading cards in return. The possibilities of using these are endless.

Maybe create cards from the latest novel or book or even categorize great websites.

http://www.realworldmath.org/Real_World_Math/RealWorldMath.org.html

Everyone likes using Google Earth, right?

It's an incredible application but the resources on this website will convince you that it's not just for geography.

At the site, you'll find lessons written and tied to expectations from the NCTM all the way to Grade 12. If you're looking to inject some project based learning into your mathematics classroom, check this out.

PicLits

Nothing inspires more than pictures. PicLits is that sort of inspiration.

There are a couple of modes for creating your own PicLits.

First, choose your picture background. Then, inspired by your image, create your PicLit on top of it.

You can drag and drop from a word list which works nicely with a SMART Board or you can go free style and type on top.

If you plan to save your PicLit, you will have to apply for an account (free). Once you subscribe, a regular newsletter serves as ongoing inspiration.
