It turns out that many of your messages are addressed to the same person. And yet, the process of creating and sending the message is the same. Open First Class, open your Mailbox, from the Message Menu select New Message and start typing. When the message is complete, you send it and then exit First Class.
There is another way...
A couple of things have to be put into place for this to happen and it doesn't work for everyone. However, it just might work for you. It involves staying up to date with some of the things that have been covered in previous editions of this column. For example, you've got First Class configured to automatically log you in, right? Have you made First Class your default mail client? i.e. you click on a "mailto" link on a webpage and First Class pops up a new message?
If not, make sure that these things are set by selecting Preferences from the Edit Menu.

Now, we're going to rely on the fact that, in Windows, you can create new objects on your desktop. Move your cursor over the desktop and right click your mouse.

In the dialogue that appears for the shortcut, you want to tell Windows that this will be a "mailto:" URL. Mailto: is Internet Speak for "Open your default email client and send a message to the email address that follows". So, if I send email on a regular basis to my ENOREO account, I would type: "mailto:dougpete@enoreo.on.ca".

Give your shortcut an appropriate name and you're all set. Whenever you have the need to send a message, double click on the shortcut, and start typing.
One final word of caution though... This is great for home computers with a DSL or cable modem and you're constantly connected to the Internet. Just remember that ANYONE can double click on that icon and enjoy the same features as you! You're probably not going to want to do this in a setting where just anyone has access to your computer!
