Is your mailbox full? Do you end up with a seemingly never ending wait when you open your mailbox?
It's probably because you have a huge number of messages sitting in your First Class mailbox. Every time you open your mailbox, the header information (date, who it's from, title, etc.) gets loaded so that you can quickly zero in on the message that you want and open it.
The more messages you have, the longer that it takes.
Your First Class client from the Teachers' Essentials CD-ROM offers a great solution. From the File Menu once your mailbox is open, you'll see an option to "Export" the message. First Class will save the contents of the message in Rich Text Format.
Once stored on your local hard drive, you can then delete the message from your mailbox.
There are some real advantages to doing this.
With fewer messages, your mailbox opens a lot quicker!
You no longer have to go online to read messages. Just open the RTF file on your computer.
If you're involved in a big project with a lot of messages, you may be able to put them all together in one folder for quick and easy reference.
