Flashing at BRDHS

With the Ministry licensing of Macromedia Studio MX, we have, of course, access to Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX for webpage creation and image editing. A major component to the suite includes Flash MX as well.

The newly made over Belle River District High School features a Flash introduction in Noble green. This very attractive an interesting opening screen serves as the doorstep to the newly revamped website.

The content of the site has been completely made over to reflect the reality of their 2003/2004 calendar. Parents can easily navigate the website to find important information such as the new timetables, etc.

Flashing at Riverside

Riverside Secondary School has had a major overhaul as well. There were a couple of really interesting points when visiting the site.

First, I was very impressed with the attempt to contact alumni from the school. Names and email addresses going all the way back to 1960 are online.

And then there's the Flash!

Follow the "Clubs" link from the top navigation menu to an interesting presentation as a starting point to clubs at the school. Currently under construction, it will be very interesting to follow the development of this and see where it's headed.

As resources like these are developed by students, it's very interesting to note and to watch. This is the new medium; it's the medium of our students. As should be evident from these or any of the other Greater Essex school sites, the students are up to the challenge.
