FirstClass lets you access
its content much as you would with any webmail service. Just point your
browser here and you're in.
The purpose of this was to provide quick and easy access to your email when you're on the road. It's functional and you can get to your email without a problem.
But, like most web mail clients, it's slow and clunky. Screen redraws aren't the fastest and your productivity goes way down.
I had a conversation with our FirstClass administrator the other day and his logs keeps track of how users access our services. We were both surprised with how many people use the web interface.
Even in our schools where the FirstClass client is there as part of the Teacher Tools!
You are strongly encouraged to get and use the client. It's so much faster, more convenient and gives you quick and easy access to everything that you should have or need to have.
If you're hosting a webpage on our server, it's the only way to fly.
On our school networks, the client is installed and configured for you. Just log in and enjoy.
At home, get the client (the latest that's compatible with our system appears below) and install it. You just need one number 199.71.141.254 for the address of the server, connect to the internet and begin to enjoy.
If you're using the browser interface consistently, give yourself a productivity boost. Get the client!
