This Month: Animation Options!
| It never hurts to
play and no truer words can be spoken when it comes to
working with animations in Hyperstudio. If you haven't done so, try adding an animation to your next creation. The process of adding one is easy. From the Objects menu, select Add a Button and decide what your button will look like. When you're prompted, select Play Animation from the Things to Do list. Now the fun begins. If you decide to stay within your document, you can select an area and animate it. Or, you can select from a series of precomposed animations. Once selected, trace the path of your animation on the screen and press the space bar when you're complete. The window to the right appears. You now have complete control over your animation. If you don't like the current orientation, select the arrows to flip it on the horizontal or vertical axis. Want to change the speed, change the frames/sec setting. Rather than having your animation appear from thin air, you can elect to have it display the first frame until the button is activated by the user. Transparent colour? That ensures that your animation blends into the background rather than sitting on a box of a different colour. Where do we know Transparent colours from? Correct. The file that we're animating is an animated gif. The message here is not to get locked into a particular format for creating Hyperstudio stacks. With animations and all of the options at your control, you have the ability to add more dimensions to your original creations. |
