Fill
that Desktop
While the Public Conferencing
area on FirstClass is nicely organized, there are times where you may wish
to change that.
Often,
when someone is looking over my shoulder while I check my email, I'll
hear the comment "Gee, you sure have a lot of conferences". Actually,
we all have access to a whole slew of them. The Computers in Education
conference in itself has 27 sub-conferences inside.
It is possible
to take your favourite conferences and put them right up front so that
you have quick and easy access to them rather than having to dig each
time.
Just open
the Public Conferences and locate the conference you want to easily
access. Point to the conference and right click your mouse button (or
CTRL-Click for the Macintosh equivalent) and choose the option to add
the conference to your desktop.

Repeat the process for each and every
conference that you'd like to have easy access to right on your desktop.
Log in and any new messages will generate a red flag to the conference
and you'll notice it right away.
