Parent's Connection

Portfolios are a great way to share student work with parents. Encourage students to bring their portfolios home at various times throughout the year so parents can also enjoy their children's progress.

Electronic Portfolios can be easily shared via the World Wide Web. Post students' portfolios on the Internet so that students can share their accomplishments with their parents at home at any time!

Hold a "Portfolio Celebration Day" when students can share with the class or visitors, the final edited contents of their portfolio. Just planning such an event will help students get their portfolios in final order before you formally evaluate them. Also, a day like this celebrates the students' hard work and highlights their achievements and the meeting of their goals.
