The Hyperpage

This month --- A New Hyperstudio

It's well known that I think that Hyperstudio is the best piece of software ever licensed by the Ministry. The best just got better though. New on the scene this fall is Hyperstudio 4. As with most upgrades, we always look for new features and Hyperstudio 4 is loaded with them.

Here are a couple of the new neat features that you're going to really enjoy.

Drag and Drop Graphics!

Gone are the days of working your way through an HSART directory looking for the perfect picture. Instead, move to the Options menu and turn on the Media Window. From the window that appears, you have a pull-down menu that takes you through the clipart gallery. Turn the preview on and work your way through the graphics. Find the one you want and drag it out to your card. YES!

It's one thing to put your graphic in place, but it's quite another to put it in the right place. We've all dealt with the difficulties of getting the graphic perfectly placed. There's nothing worse than working your way through a stack and have to mouse around the screen looking for that elusive "next" button. The new Hyperstudio has you covered there as well. From the Options menu, turn on the grid. Lots of options are available to help you line things up perfectly.

With the assistance of the grid, move your graphic or other screen option to just the right position and drop it.

Turn the grid off and it will look like your graphic was dropped into place with the hands of a surgeon!
