Getting Ready- Tools for Classroom Management

ClarisWorks 5.0, which has been renamed Appleworks, is a great source of Assistants which will help you do tasks to help with classroom management. There are Homework To Do lists, projects, Writing an Essay and presentations under the School Curriculum assistants  and seating plans,  course outlines, grade book under the School Administration assistants. Check out the other Assistants available to you in this program.
Other programs have Wizards that will help you to create documents useful in classroom management. Try using the Table feature in MS Publisher to create mark sheets and class lists. This is also a good place to design your daybook .
Try using the computer to make your class newsletters.
Once you have created  documents that suit your needs, save them so that editing can be done when changes occur.

Math Equations   = + [     } … and more

If you are in need of the symbols for more advanced math which are not available on your keyboard, try going to the Equation Editor in ClarisWorks 5.0. For math tests or worksheets, you can work in a Word Processing document. When math equations are needed go to Edit and choose Insert Equation. There are several buttons which have drop down lists of the math operations and
