Join a group of elementary teachers as they share their experiences with a SMART board system as members of a GECDSB initiative. Learn how to enrich your literacy and numeracy programs and enhance your daily routines by captivating students with engaging, interactive activities. See how the vast amount of information available on the internet can easily be incorporated into all curriculum areas seemlessly using the SMART Notebook software. While the content is based from experiences in primary classrooms, all elementary educators will find ideas that could be adapted into their programs.

Each of the teachers in this initiative investigated new technologies with a laptop computer, data projector, SMART Board, Logitech speakers, iPod, a rolling media cart, and a never-ending desire to make this Personal Learning Network. They were instrumental in the creation of this SMART Board resource.

In the presentation, many resources were created and shared by the presenters in their own Notebooks. There were numerous web resources used to make these resources relevant. Weblinks for them appear below.

Videos were created by the school's RCA Small Wonder camera and edited into movie format using Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker.

The team also used such Web 2.0 collaboration tools as Twitter, Delicious, and Podcasting.

Other than the Notebook software, the presenters also made reference to SMART Ideas, Write Way, Jeopardy Builder, Clicker 5, and images from Pecs.
