HEALTHY SMILES ONTARIO is a new program for children and youth 17 years of age and under who do not have access to any form of dental coverage. If eligible, children will have access to regular dental services at no cost for up to three (3) years or until they reach their 18th birthday.
On Thursday, February 16, 2012 during the school lunch time, Oral Health representatives from the Windsor Essex County Health Unit will be at KENNEDY to distribute information and HSO application forms to students. They will return to Kennedy on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 4:30 to 7:00 pm. Applications must be returned by the parent/guardian and will be processed on site. Families who meet the criteria will receive their HSO dental identification cards within 7 - 10 days.
The documents that will be required at the time of application:
- annual GST Credit entitlement or Annual Canada Child Tax Benefit (2010 tax year)
Students will start to select courses for next year starting in February. Sit down with your son or daughter and discuss the options for next year. If you would like to make an appointment, please call the Guidance Department.

Did you know that teachers at Kennedy work BINGOS to raise funds for sports teams? Groups of teachers can be seen at the CLASSIC IV Bingo Hall at the Market Square (Walker and Ottawa). Our Booster Club is asking for parents to come play BINGO when we are scheduled to work to help support our athletic programs indirectly. For the 2012 calendar year, the schedule is posted below. The following are dates that you may want to pencil in to help support the school. All our BINGOS are the 4pm, 6pm and 8pm sessions.
