University and College Visitation Days

Post-secondary institutions will visit LDSS throughout the school year in the Library. Check the Student Services Events Calendar for visitation dates (click here to view a table of links to each institution). An announcement is made 2-3 days prior to each visit, and students are required to sign up in Student Services at least one day in advance to attend. You must also be academically eligible to attend the visiting institution in order to be released from class. Please note that presentations/assignments/tests take priority and students are released from class with teacher permission.

Scholarships & Bursaries

Scholarship and bursary applications are available to students at various times throughout the school year. Announcements are made regularly and postings are continuously updated on the bulletin boards outside of Student Services.

When applying, be careful to adhere to deadline dates as required by various schools, agencies or organizations in order to be considered for awards. Furthermore, students who require letters of recommendation should provide their teacher(s), principal, vice-principal, or counsellor with an outline of his/her academic accomplishments and extra-curricular activities and allow sufficient time for these letters and accompanying forms to be completed.
