What' is SOMA?
The Southern Ontario Model United Nations Assemble is a student forum for debate of international issues modeled on the United Nations. It presents and opportunity for an exceptional and beneficial experience to all high school students.

April- nine students will be attending the Southern Ontario Model United Nations Assembly held annually at the University of Toronto. Our students will be representing the countries of Benin, Somalia and Swaziland at the Assembly which lasts for three days. Three resolutions will be debated at the Assembly.

 -The History Department will be running a parallel mock election for senior students 16 to 17 years of age. An attempt will be made to have all political parties represented at a public forum by the official candidates in the upcoming provincial election. Polling stations will be set up at the school on election day and results shared with the local media. The Interec Club and the Plato Debated Club will be assisting Mr. Garlick and Mr. Lutz.
