The Law subdivision under the Canadian and World Studies Department of Massey provides 2 courses in the study area of Canadian and International Law. Students will explore legal issues that will directly affect their lives. They will be given opportunities to develop informed opinions on legal issues and to defend those opinions and communicate legal knowledge in a variety of ways and settings, including legal research projects, mock trials, and debates. They will learn more about the role of the law in social, political, and global contexts,  the connections between the historical and philosophical sources of law and issues in contemporary society. They will also learn to analyze legal issues, conduct independent research, and communicate the results of their inquiries in a variety of ways.
