GREAT LINKS FOR LITERACY

Literacy involves helping kids make meaning. We believe that practice with lots of great activities, exposure to really good literature, and lots of support from home and school, kids will start to see reading and writing as useful, fun, and doable. Our teachers at LPS use wonderful innovative strategies and technologies, including the "Smart Board," to motivate children to become better readers and writers.

Below are some neat websites you can use with your children to improve their reading and writing (even if it looks like they are just having fun!) Some of these sites relate to authors we've studied in school.
