A Warm Welcome From The LaSalle Public School Council
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all parents and their children who are planning to join the LaSalle Public School Community this September.
The word "community" best reflects our school as everyone (staff, parents and children) works together to provide the greatest possible learning experience for our students.
What Does Our School Council Do?
The majority of the LaSalle Public School Council members are parents. Other members include our Principal, and Vice-Principal.
Our council meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. The meetings are an excellent opportunity to find out what is happening at our school and within the education system. Please feel free to stop in and see one of our meetings firsthand.
Things we like to do are:
* Discuss the latest educational issues, provide input to and receive feedback from our Principal
* Invite speakers and plan special events to benefit our parents and their children
* Run food days
* ...and much more!
Very interesting discussions occur during our meetings.
Our School Council, along with the Fundraising Committee, helps to raise money for the school each year. Our parents were very generous last year enabling us to provide funds for school planners, field trips, computer software and many more items.

Our annual walk-a-thon is not only a fundraiser but also a healthy way to start our school year.
Enjoy a good Barbecue? Well, at LaSalle Public we start of the year with one! It is a great way to meet the staff and other families. Please check your school calendar in September, and we hope to see you there.
