What  The Elementary Technology Centre is an exciting place where you will learn to apply the mechanics of Science and Technology in a new way.  Working in small groups you  will be able to work together using manuals, videos, computer programs and hands on activities.  You and your team will design, build and test solutions to challenges given.

When  You will visit the centre 6 times over your grade 7 & 8 years. Your teacher will know those dates in advance. 

Who  There are 1 or 2 specialized teachers that will guide you through your day.  Your homeroom teacher will be there also. 

Evaluation  Your work will be marked throughout the day.  These marks are integrated with your Science and Technology home school work and will appear on your report card.

In School Activities  Your home school teacher will prepare you for your visits with activities done in your classroom. 

Lunch  You will be able to use the High School cafeteria.  You will not be able to leave the centre unless accompanied by a teacher.

Expectations   You will only need a pencil, lunch or lunch money.  Your coat and lunch will be locked in a locker to which you can have access when needed.  Lockers must be shared.  Do not bring any large bags or backpacks.  Leave all electronic devices (MP3 player, IPOD, gameboy etc.) at home.  Unsafe and destructive behaviour will not be tolerated.
