Students investigate the stresses that act on a tower and what an engineer must
consider before designing one. Activities help
 students
discover what design factors most affect the stability of a tower. Each group
designs and constructs a free standing tower that is tested for structural
integrity through an earthquake simulator and for centre of gravity performance.
