NUMERACY NIGHT LINKS

Session: Technology and Math
Facilitator: Cindy Henderson - Instructional Coach

Online web addresses change over time as well as the content and possible advertising links. Please check the sites regularly to ensure that the content is appropriate for your child. It is strongly encouraged that parents monitor their child's internet use. Children appreciate your interest and joint participation in their online learning experiences to strengthen their math knowledge and skill development.

GAMES AND PRACTICE

IXL games for k - 8: This site includes provincial curriculum expectations and related math games and drills. It allows for timed practice and shows the score you achieved for each activity.

Ten Marks: Click on "See how it works" at the bottom of the page and then type in the grade level. From there, select from a range of math activities in the drop down menu.

Cool Math: Select the K-3 range for math games and then the topic before choosing a specific game. This site is best previewed by parents to avoid games that might have more mature content.

Discovery Education Puzzlemaker: Create your own number puzzles to solve with different degrees of difficulty by varying the grid size and blank boxes.

VIDEOS
