For those of you who like to plan early, we have a new student handbook.
Boundaries have been approved for the Tecumseh School
The boundary information has been approved for the new Tecumseh school, and all affected schools.
Here are three documents you will want to see:
- A letter to all residents which announces the boundary changes.
- The approved French Immersion and English boundaries, for the new Tecumseh school.
- The approved boundaries for the new Tecumseh school, as compared to Belle River DHS and Essex DHS.

Congratulations to Mr. Metler and Mr. Rodger, who are both retiring at the end of this school year. Also retiring are Mr. Fay and Mr. Cecile, two former Belle River teachers who have worked as consultants at the school board office the last number of years. Our best wishes go out to these four gentlemen!
Monday is the last day of classes. Students are expected to be at school, regardless of whether or not they have an afternoon exam.
The exam schedule is as follows:
- Monday, June 21 - Period 4 exam (afternoon)
- Tuesday, June 22 - Period 1 exam (morning)
- Wednesday, June 23 - Period 2 exam (morning)
- Thursday, June 24 - Period 3 exam (morning)

A number of students from our school participated in the 2009/2010 Polar Expressions National Student Poetry Contest . Aaron Hegazi took home the third place prize for himself and the school. The following students along with Aaron were also published:

Wes Laporte
Belle River's own, Wes Laporte, is in need of a bone marrow transplant as he battles recently-diagnosed leukemia. His family is appealing to the public to help with the financial needs of on-going, necessary treatment of this deadly disease.
(The story broke locally in the Windsor Star on August 19th.)

Daily Schedule
Monday through Friday we have the following time table.
On Fridays, we follow a DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) schedule in order to accomodate a universal reading time for all students and staff at the beginning of period two.
